We're just a couple of days away from Ignite Petaluma 3. More than a dozen speakers will be taking the mic to talk about sustainability related issues and topics, this Wednesday, June 22 at the Baker Creek Seed Bank (199 Petaluma Blvd. North).

Tickets are now available for Ignite Petaluma 3, happening June 22, 2011 at 6pm at the Baker Creek Heirloom Seed store in Downtown Petaluma.

Doors will open at 6pm for mingling, refreshments, and sustainability education. Talks start at 7pm. Click here to reserve your free tickets.

For this Ignite Petaluma event, we're adopting a sustainability theme. Our speakers (to be announced soon) will speak on a sustainability related topic, such as food security, soil, water, energy, education, transportation, sustainable communities and more.

Ignite is a geek event that’s taken place in over 100 cities worldwide. At the events, Ignite presenters share their personal and professional passions using twenty slides that auto-advance every fifteen seconds for a total of exactly five minutes. Tips for Submitting a Proposal

Make it personal! Regardless of the topic you have in mind, the more you tie it to personal experiences, worldview, etc., the more that will convey to the audience and connect you to them.
Submitting a proposal does not guarantee a speaking slot. Use the Description field in the form below to convey your idea effectively and succinctly.
If you have a good story to share, but not a lot of experience working with PowerPoint, submit a talk anyway? We can coach you through building your PowerPoint deck.

The Call for Speakers for Ignite Petaluma 2 is now closed. Thanks to everyone who submitted a proposal We will be announcing the speaker lineup in the next few days.

Following the awesome success of Petaluma Ignite #1 at the Aqus Café on November 9^th, Petaluma Ignite #2 is scheduled for February 10^th at St. Vincent de Paul High School. Ignite Petaluma 2 is one of dozens of Ignite events scheduled for the week of February 7-11, 2011, as part of Global Ignite Week.

If you are new to Ignite, it’s a geek event that’s taken place in over 100 cities worldwide. At the events, Ignite presenters share their personal and professional passions using twenty slides that auto-advance every fifteen seconds for a total of exactly five minutes. Many thanks to John Crowley and Aqus Café for hosting Ignite Petaluma 1, proving once again how rich of a community asset Aqus really is for all of us.

The first ever Ignite Petaluma is happening on November 9th at Aqus Cafe in Petaluma, CA. The call for presentations is now open. If you have a 5 minute talk that will inspire, teach or just make people think then throw your hat in the ring. We’ll take ~16 speakers (and no repeats from last time). Get your talk submission in by October 24 by using the form below.
